View from the cockpit jumpseat as we taxi out to Runway 16 from the McClellan Jet Center to takeoff for a very quick flight to Stockton Metropolitan Airport for a touch and go on Runway 29R before returning to McClellan within the hour.

This executive configuration 1971-built 100-series 727 has had the Super 27 modification, replacing the side engines with 200-series Pratt & Whitney JT8Ds (also found on the MD-80 family) while the original center engine is retained.
