Amid the Israel Hamas War, Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obaidah has issued a statement saying that the hostages died in an Israeli airstrike. But, more importantly, Abu Obaidah has said that if Israel tries to release the hostages through military pressure, they will return to Israel in coffins. Al-Qassam Brigades says that new guidelines have been issued to the fighters deployed to protect the hostages. Abu Obaidah further said that Netanyahu has insisted on releasing the captives through military pressure instead of reaching an agreement, which means they will return to their families in coffins. Their families will have to choose between receiving them dead or alive. Netanyahu and the IDF are fully responsible for the deaths of the prisoners because they have deliberately obstructed the prisoner exchange deal.

Abu Obaidah ने आगे कहा कि नेतन्याहू ने समझौते पर पहुँचने के बजाय सैन्य दबाव के ज़रिए बंदियों को मुक्त करने पर ज़ोर दिया है, जिसका मतलब है कि वे ताबूतों में अपने परिवारों के पास वापस जाएँगे. उनके परिवारों को उन्हें मृत या जीवित प्राप्त करने के बीच चयन करना होगा. Netanyahu और IDF कैदियों की मौत के लिए पूरी तरह से जिम्मेदार हैं, क्योंकि उन्होंने जानबूझकर कैदियों की अदला-बदली की डील में बाधा डाली है.
