Lua is a very popular beginner-friendly programming language that's widely used in game engines and lots of other places too. It's a great place to learn programming, especially when you use a library like Love2d, which makes creating games pretty simple.

This video is the first in a series of tutorials for learning the basics of programming in Lua and making simple games using Love2d.

Unfortunately if you want to write code in the Lua programming language on Windows, it's not that easy to get everything set up. The good news is that once it's all set up, you should be good to go and make new projects without having to repeat all these steps.

In this video I walk you through getting set up with the Lua interpreter on your system along with the Geany IDE, which is a lightweight free IDE with a quick learning curve.
