Why Mario & Luigi Games are Coming Back

Mario & Luigi: Brothership for the Nintendo Switch marks the first new Mario & Luigi game in nearly ten years. So how did we end up here? Why did these games go away, and, crucially, why is this the moment for Nintendo to bring them back again?
