If you would like to hear a summation of the Law of Moses, that is God's Old Testament Law the book of Deuteronomy would more than suffice. In this great book Moses reviews the Old Testament Law of God with the Israelites before he hands over leadership to Joshua the son of Nun. Moses earnestly pleads with them to follow God's commandments not only telling them of the blessings that would follow as a result but also warning them that failure to obey God would be disasters for them. Further God, like he did in Leviticus chapter 26 prophecies that they would be disobedient and horrible punishments would come upon them. The reason God would allow these horrors was to punish them in hopes that they would repent and turn back to him. He promises that when they repent he would accept them again as his people. The book of Judges begins showing this Cycle of Sin as it is sometimes called and it continues throughout the rest of their history.
