Rick Rule Uranium Rankings

Описание к видео Rick Rule Uranium Rankings

Rick Rule graded my uranium stocks... again. So, this is supposed to be a simple, short and to the point video (unlike most of my other videos). I'll just shoot names of uranium companies, and Rick will grade their stock, using his famous Rick Rule grades, that go from 1 to 10, with 1 being an obvious buy, and 10 being a death wish, or something more dramatic.

This is the second part of my conversation with Rick Rule that took place on June 1, 2021. Yes, I'm just now publishing this second part because I'm an evil YouTuber who's after the ad money.

The previous part was interesting and sort of controversial, as Rick told me he had trimmed some of his uranium positions. So, I was ready to get some bad grades on my uranium stocks but I thought they were okay, especially given the YTD performance of uranium stocks.

If you didn't watch the 2 videos I did discussing "my perfect uranium portfolio", you shouldn't because they weren't any good, but here's the gist of them:

I want my uranium portfolio to look like this:
30% Basics - Cornerstone (KAP, CCJ, CGN)
20% Physical (UPC (soon Sprott physical, Yellowcake)
20% Section 232 (Ur Energy, Energy Fuels, WUC, Peninsula)
15%% Geo-political diversification (Goviex, Bannerman, Boss, Paladin, DeepYellow, GLO)
10% Athabasca Basin (CCJ, Fission, Denison, Nexgen, UEX)
5% Speculations (Forsys, Marenica, Vimy)

This is what my perfect uranium portfolio looks like. I don't yet have this, and if I manage to build it, it would be in a demo portfolio - not with real money. Why? Because I've no idea what I'm doing and I'd like to learn first. I'd suggest that a lot of uranium speculators would be better off doing that as well. Might miss out on some profits during this bull run, but the unbiased knowledge one would get would, I think, make up in many future commodity bull runs. It's hard learning from your real portfolio because of the biased that real money gives you. There's many valid, objective reasons to do it, and not so many reasons not to do it (I can't think of a valid one). Up to you, of course, I'm not a financial advisor.

As a conclusion, the highest grades that Rick gave some of my holdings were:
Kazatomprom at 4
China General Nuclear (1164) at 4
Boss Resources at 4

All the other got grades between 5 and 6. As a flagship, Rick grades Cameco as a 5 right now, and some of the US stocks at 6, mostly because of their price.

Do remember that these grades are one person's opinion and shouldn't change yours. They are very timely, so watching this video after June 1 (when it was recorded) is possibly not a good idea. I'm uploading it now, because as I said I'm evil, and also because it takes time to edit, etc.

The comments Rick gives on the companies, however, are valuable and can be used as starting points of a research.

Rick also suggested 2 smaller cap uranium juniors to me:
Iso Energy
CanAlaska

I have not yet looked into those and therefore I don't have an opinion on them, that could be of value to any uranium speculator.

It's worth mentioning that most of these grades are thus low because of their prices. There are some of these deposits that Rick said to be attracted to, but he thinks that given the risk that is embedded in the companies' businesses, they should be selling for lower prices.

For example, while NexGen has a deposit that will likely turn out to be the most important uranium mine by the time I'm Rick's age (or even sooner), the deposit is "450 km from anywhere". This means that a company will have to sink a lot of capital into that project before it can do anything with it. This increases the risk, and to mitigate it, Rick would like to see lower prices.

In previous interviews, Rick has called NexGen a "must own uranium stock".

TIMESTAMPS:
00:00 Important notice
02:00 Shameless self promotion
02:35 Cameco, Kazatomprom, China General Nuclear
04:30 Uranium Participation & Yellow Cake
07:50 Ur Energy Stock
10:05 Peninsula Stock
11:10 Goviex Stock
12:09 Bannerman Stock
13:00 Boss Resources Stock
13:50 Deep Yellow Stock
14:35 Baselode Stock
15:30 Fission, Denison, UEX
19:00 NexGen Stock
22:25 Iso Energy Stock
23:00 CanAlaska Stock

Please understand that both me and Rick Rule have large incentives to see an increased interest and increased buying of these stocks, as that would increase their per share price, and given that, either me or Rick, own some of them, that could result in a financial stimulus for us to have a rosy view on them.

In other words: The people talking in this video are biased on the stocks they're talking about because they likely own shares in them. You buying results in them making money. Do your own research as none of us is a financial advisor, and we are biased.
