In my opinion there are two types of resumes in the world: one-page resumes and wrong resumes.

Your resume should be one page. Why? Because no one is reading the second, or God forbid, third page.

So what's the fix? Ironically, creating a much longer resume.

Go through each position you have had and create bullets on everything you have done while focusing on key projects, initiatives, and achievements. Don't leave anything out.

You'll end up with a 3-4 page resume. This will serve as bullet bank. When applying to a position, pull out only the bullets that speak to what they are looking for.

Keep it to one page! This will force you to edit.

That way your resume will be tailored to each job to which you are applying. How great is that?
