If you are thinking about moving here:
#1 Cost of living- Tennessee is popular because of the overall low cost of living. It is 49th out of 50th state in overall tax burden. New York is #1 and California is #9.
-We have no state income tax…Tennessee is one of 9 states that has no state income tax - so that saves you a lot of money.
BUT we do have a sales tax. It’s about 9.25. Here in TN we are taxed on groceries and food I know in California - they don’t have that….but overall when you look at the overall scheme of things…you are still likely to be way ahead here in Nashville
We also have very low utility bills. In summer…really hot…150 dollars for a Electric.
In winter…gas bill….about the same.
And our property taxes are very very low.
Example: on a 800,000 house, you will likely pay about 3,000 dollars a year in property taxes. For a Million dollar house…depending on which county…looking at around 4,000 dollars a year. Much lower than other states like california and Illinois.
People sometimes get a little sticker shock when they first go on zillow…because homes here in nice areas are not inexpensive.
-but this is a top 50 city.
-when you compare it to other places…major metropolitan areas…factor in all the costs…still ahead in Nashville.
#2: Way of Life - lifestyle- Southern Hospitality
-This is a Southern City….it’s a little slower pace here.
-People are FRIENDLY and NICE
-It’s the bible belt…Church is very important here.
-also great way to meet people!

Summers are hot : July especially….
Fall here is amazing….
Spring: my favorite..
Rain: typically get rain about 4 days a month.
Average daily temperature is 80 degrees…
#4 LOTS OF THINGS TO DO
We have a vibrant music scene…not just country music although that is big here. There is a street - call Broadway…where you can go watch live music literally any night of the week. We are seeing all kinds of musicians move here…not just country. With that people in the production and movie industry. If you like the outdoors: several amazing parks and nature trails. We do have several areas to go for boating…one of the favorite things to do is drive the rolling hills. Get out of the city….go to Lieper’s fork…look at the amazing horse farms and rolling hills.

We have the Tennessee Titans football team, The Nashville Soccer Club..and Predators Hockey team.
#5:Housing/neighborhood options:
So if you are a remote worker or work from home and can make a move…..
Why would you not Nashville tn or nearby Franklin Tn…
