Rajiv Malhotra and Swami Chidanandapuri discuss in this episode about the NGOs and organisations which step in to help during natural calamities but whose intentions are less than honest in this endeavour. Swamiji discusses here how not just the NGOs but also the state government of Kerala, currently of communist persuasion has become so suspect in the way it is functioning. He gives the example of the floods that happened in Kerala in 2018 and the state government response to it. They discussed the Gadgil report and how the government has been vehemently opposing it because vested interests mainly Christian, that have business stakes in the high ranges managed to arm twist the government to protect their interests. This absolute disregard for the fragile high range ecosystem of Kerala that has seen wanton destruction through quarrying and other business activities is really ringing alarm bells for the future.
