An experiment gone well!! This antenna has a nice wide frequency range for both UHF and VHF high. It started out as an experiment and I went through a few element sizes before I settled with the 28 inch element. It has only one element and is built with the least amount of materials than any antenna I've seen here on Youtube.
All the materials are available at your local hardware or home improvent stores (or at least most locations).
Good luck with your antenna building and don't forget to run a channel scan every now and then as it may required from time to time. :)
