Optical Fiber Sensor Working and Application II OMRON Sensor E3X-NA11(Part-1)

Optical Fiber/Fibre sensor connection/wiring will be explained in next video. Optical Fiber sensor (OMRON) uses TIR total internal reflection concept. Optical fiber sensor is used to sensor very small target. Optical fiber sensor uses optics to to detect the target. Optical fiber is available in diffuse type and through beam type optical fibre.

These sensors are used to sense some quantities like temperature, pressure, vibrations, displacements, rotations or concentration of chemical species. Fibers have so many uses in the field of remote sensing because they require no electrical power at the remote location and they have tiny size.
