1/14/2011, Houston, TX -- Roky Moon and BOLT! were invited to play the celebration marking Austin music legend Daniel Johnston's 50th birthday. Not long after performing as Daniel's fantasy band in the run of the play "Life is Happy and Sad" about Johnston's years at the University of Texas in Austin (which earned them rave reviews from Daniel himself) and mere days before recording their own live, in-studio album "American Honey," Roky Moon and BOLT! used this last opportunity to tighten up the set that would become the album and pay tribute to an artist that they continue to admire and love. This is their performance from that night.
