Hear from a Village Group Headman of one of the rural communities where the Malawi Water Project is affecting change. In this video, the Group Headman of Singano Community explains how water borne illness was prevalent in his community before safe water technology, sanitation and hygiene programs were introduced with assistance from the Malawi Water Project. With concerns of COVID-19 rising in Malawi, our teams also provided soap and education on hand washing, in order to help prevent the spread of the virus amongst households.

A community volunteer also explains the importance of the Biosand Water Filter and how it has alleviated suffering from diarrhea, and improved the health of children so they may continue going to school

"Before the project came into my village we had problems with Cholera, Dysentry....in both children and elderly people because of contaminated water...the water project has really assisted my group of villages."

The goal of the Malawi Water Project is to improve health and alleviate suffering due to water borne illnesses by providing clean, safe drinking water to vulnerable children and families in Malawi, Africa.
