Welcome to Mushroom! Run!, my immersive VR graduation project created as a Digital Media Art major at my university. In this video, I walk you through the concept and experience of my final-year installation — a wild, hallucinatory parkour challenge inside a psychedelic world.

Project Overview:
Players “eat” a virtual mushroom, triggering vivid hallucinations and altered perceptions.
During parkour, you navigate shifting landscapes, dodge obstacles, and confront your own inner illusions.
At the end of each level, you’re rewarded with a unique “mushroom poster” — a keepsake that symbolizes the type of trip you experienced.

Why I Made This:
I wanted to use VR as a way to physically and emotionally simulate the surreal sensation of being under the influence — letting players feel rather than just observe.
This is also part of my portfolio for applying to film and interactive arts programs abroad, especially in the US and Europe.

Built in Unreal Engine 5
Tested on Meta Quest 2
Filmed using DJI Pocket 3
