Not just a collaboration between two artists but a journey between two cities, Bangalore-based Agaahi Raahi and Delhi-based Novacane have come together to take a dig at the underground hip hop scene in their upcoming single, ROADWAYS.


The hip hop scene in India is picking up steam and with this rise in popularity, there are quite a few “rappers” whose credibility can easily be questioned, but isn't. Nova and Agaahi are doing that for us -- calling out rappers who are in the scene but don’t understand the “Kulture”.


Agaahi and Novacane met when the latter came to one of the cyphers organised by Wanandaf, a hip hop collective co-founded by Agaahi around this time last year. The collective stirred a movement among hip hop artists leading to a revival of the cypher culture in Bangalore and other parts of the country.


Agaahi Raahi recently released a single Haalaat. The song also got featured in Rolling Stone India and was called “a hard-hitting take on India as it goes through the coronavirus pandemic”.


This is his first collaboration with Novacane, who is part of New Delhi Cartel, a hip hop group based in Delhi. He recently released Ghar, a song about the journey of finding out that home is where one is at their most natural self.
