Prima bathing is the right way to bathe a dog.
Prima’s unique design and method of bathing pets produces a soft foam gently applied to the skin and coat producing a cleansing experience pets love and benefit from. Shampoo should stay on the dog for approximately 4 minutes in order to allow the shampoo to effectively perform the task of cleaning your pet. The longer you can keep shampoo ON the coat the LESS shampoo you will need. With Prima you should be able to use 4X less shampoo.
The flat fan nozzle is designed to increase efficiency.  The goal is to get cleanest coat with at the lowest cost possible.  If the coat is flooded with too much water when applying shampoo the water will carry the shampoo or (surfactant which is the technical term for the cleaning agent in shampoo) off the coat and down the drain with out the contact time it needs to fully utilize the surfactant.  The surfactant has a function.  It has certain requirements to function or fulfill its purpose.  In my opinion the flat fan nozzle helps the operator get the best results using the least amount of shampoo. The Prima Bathing System positions groomers to be as efficient as possible. Helping them get more accomplished at a lower cost.

 The flat fan nozzle is easier to control the amount of shampoo that flows through the coat to the skin.  When bathing Heavy or double dogs, apply the shampoo slowly to guarantee full penetration. With light coated dogs you must move fast to prevent product waste and over flow. Feet and rear end first then up legs and side panels.  Back to front.  End up at head.  Clean head and ears while the surfactant is working on the dirt ( at least 4 minutes contact time)  before rinsing the shampoo.  Remember any shampoo that runs off is money down the drain .  If the coat does not come out squeaky clean when you rinse you need to add more shampoo to the tank or allow more time for the product to sit on the coat.
