🚶‍♂️ Our Journey:
Dhom Dam Visit: Overflowing with water after the rainy season, the dam offered breathtaking views of greenery, rare birds, unique plants, and playful ducks swimming in the reservoir.
Hiking Adventure: From the dam, we ventured onto a mountain hike that presented mesmerizing views of the surrounding landscapes. Our faithful dog, Ruby, joined us, making the hike even more memorable!

🌟 About Dhom Dam:
Location: 21 km from Panchgani & 97 km from Pune
History: Built on the Krishna River, construction started in 1976 and completed in 1982. It's one of the largest civil engineering projects in India from that era and a crucial water source for the region.
Features: Standing 50 feet tall and stretching 2,478 meters in length, the dam’s lake holds a water capacity of 14 TMC. It also has a basement electricity house generating 4 MG of electricity.
Tourist Activities: The Dhom Lake, formed by the dam's backwaters, offers boating activities like water scooters, speed boats, banana boats, and motorboats. You can also enjoy horse riding and camping at the Sahyadri Boat Club.
