A large and very busy level crossing located on the main road which runs through the East of King's Lynn, found to the east of King's Lynn town centre and Railway Station. This level crossing is controlled from the signal box located very close to it, and it is located on a bend in the road giving it a fairly interesting set-up. It needs full-length barriers on one side of this road since this side of the road has its own cycle lane as well as pedestrian footway. All four videos featured were filmed within around half an hour of each other as an additional peak-hour Cambridge to King's Lynn service also appeared as well as the main hourly service from/to London King's Cross. It was getting very dark whilst I was here, and I apologise about the light glare and slightly-off quality in some of these videos, even though I made my best efforts to keep my camera's lens clean.

Since my previous visit here, both the incandescent bulb-type wigwags and the pair of alarms which accompanied them have been replaced by both much newer, common LED variants, and a much newer pair of alarms respectively. This was bound to happen given just how busy this level crossing is for road traffic, pedestrians and cyclists, and it was surprising that the old halogen bulb-type wigwags lasted so long here before their inevitable replacement earlier in 2021. The newer alarms here are also noticeably not as loud as their predecessors. It seems that all that has remained since my last visit is the set-up of the level crossing on the road bend, as well as the barriers.

Whilst there wasn't a constant stream of pedestrians, vehicles, and cyclists, there were enough about to make filming the level crossing a touch awkward and tricky at times. The road was quite hard to cross when the barriers had raised as a lot of traffic got stopped by each lowering.

Thanks for watching!
