1. Chris Wall Whistle with Experimental Bell Note Adjustment

Описание к видео 1. Chris Wall Whistle with Experimental Bell Note Adjustment

I like Chris Wall's whistle more and more as I play it, but I want a bit more strength on the bottom end, so I'm working to tailor it closer to my own preferences. Overall, I think this is a nice whistle for beginners as it is QUIET and mellow. Perfect for practicing without killing your (or anyone else's) ears. Heck, advanced whistlers could probably use a whistle like that at times.

**Update** I have mostly returned the whistle to the state it was in prior to my modification. The fipple plug is not one of Chris's new Delrin plugs, and being wood, it dried and came loose months ago. I was missing the quiet A whistle with a touch of backpressure, so I sanded and coated the fipple block with epoxy and replaced it. Then, not liking the harshness of the top two notes due to my modification, I took the wall off with a saw. I gouged near the windway a bit, but filled it in with more epoxy, and now I've got the whistle, more or less, back to the way it was.
