The 2021 Hungarian GP started off with a MASSIVE crash caused by Bottas's lock up, leading to Norris's and Perez's retirement from the race, Stroll tried to avoid but ended up hitting Leclerc. Max Verstappen also became a victim, his car gets damaged, falling to 13th (but still managed to race and get 10th position). This caused the race to be red flagged. Upon having the red flag, many drivers managed to gain positions. Upon the restart formation lap, the rain ended while everyone still had intermediate tyres. and everyone but Hamilton decided to pit. Giving the unique restart with 13 drivers (Mazepin happen to have his front wheel broken by Kimi Raikkonen as Mazepin stacks the Haas pit) and Hamilton only on the grid with intermediates. This leads to him having to pit later and lose 14 positions.
The greatest battles in this race happened within Alonso - Hamilton, the old rivalry returned with Alonso defending his 4th place from being taken by Hamilton for several laps, and Ocon - Vettel, Ocon managing to hold his P1 for basically the entire race.
This race is also a miracle for both Williams drivers, as they managed to get points.
