It is with profound sadness that we share the news that Best Friends co-founder and former CEO Gregory Castle passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from natural causes.

His love, leadership, and lifelong devotion to animals changed the world — and all of us. Gregory's legacy reminds us that when we seek purpose, we can always find our way through kindness to animals.
