The DTM and DT connector systems are particularly suitable for use in harsh conditions. That's why DTM and DT connectors are often used in agriculture, where connectors are exposed to a lot of dirt and grime. A DTM or DT connector can also withstand ambient temperatures from -55°C up to 125°C without any problems. Our DTM plugs and DT plugs are certified according to IP68, so they are fully protected against dust and permanent immersion in water.

If you use a 1.5 mm2 cable, up to 13 A current load per contact is possible with a DT plug connection. The DTM connectors were developed based on the strengths of the DT connectors. They are intended to meet the demand for multi-pole plug connections with low current ratings. Therefore, up to 7.5 A current load per contact is possible for connections with a DTM plug when a cable with 0.5 mm2 is used.
