The first session of the 3D Printing Workshop introduces you to thermal simulations. Besides a crisp introduction to SimScale and engineering simulation/CAE in general, the participants will create a simulation of the heat distribution within the extruder from scratch and optimize the design based on the results of the analysis.

The SimScale 3D Printer Workshop enables 3D printing enthusiasts and professionals to learn how to use the SimScale engineering simulation platform for developing and improving the design of a 3D printer.

During three workshop sessions, participants will learn the fundamentals of engineering simulations and will expand their knowledge by improving the design of the RepRap 3D printer.
