In this tutorial we dig deeper into the Ablative & Instrumental Pali noun cases. It covers the declension endings and how each case is used. The Ablative case very important in the Pali Early Buddhist Texts as it denotes the point starting from which the action of the verb proceeds and is used to indicate both the cause of or the origination of an action. Both subjects are close to the heart of buddhist philosophy. While the Instrumental case most often indicates the means by which an action is done.

This is the 25th in the series of introductory Language tutorials for anyone wishing to learn the Pali language of the Theravada Buddhist canon. They are aimed at the absolute beginner and are in English.
