মহানবী হজরত মুহম্মাদ (সা.) ছিলেন সব শ্রেণী-পেশার মানুষের জন্য এক অনুপম আদর্শ। তিনি ছিলেন শিশুর আদর্শ, যুবকের আদর্শ, সৈনিকের আদর্শ, সেনাপতির আদর্শ, স্বামীর আদর্শ, পিতার আদর্শ, নানার আদর্শ, ব্যবসায়ীর আদর্শ, শিক্ষকের আদর্শ ও রাষ্ট্রনায়কের আদর্শ। পৃথিবীর অন্যকোনো মহামানবের ভেতরে এমন অপুর্ব দৃষ্টান্ত পাওয়া যাবে না, যার সমাহার ও সংমিশ্রণ শুধু এই মহামানবের জীনাদর্শেই বিদ্যমান। তাঁর অনুসরণ-অনুকরণ করার মধ্যে মানব জীবনের ঐকান্তিক সফলতা নিহিত। রাসুল (সা.) পৃথিবীতে আগমন করেছেন সচ্চরিত্রের বিকাশ সাধনের লক্ষ্যে।

রাসূল হজরত মুহাম্মদ [স] যার উপর ইসলামী আল-কুরআন অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে। অমুসলিমদের মতে তিনি ইসলামী জীবন ব্যবস্থার প্রবর্তক। অধিকাংশ ইতিহাসবেত্তা ও বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, মুহাম্মাদ ছিলেন পৃথিবীর ইতিহাসে অন্যতম প্রভাবশালী রাজনৈতিক, সামাজিক ও ধর্মীয় নেতা। তার এই বিশেষত্বের অন্যতম কারণ হচ্ছে আধ্যাত্মিক ও জাগতিক উভয় জগতেই চূড়ান্ত সফলতা অর্জন। তিনি ধর্মীয় জীবনে যেমন সফল তেমনই রাজনৈতিক জীবনেও। সমগ্র আরব বিশ্বের জাগরণের পথিকৃৎ হিসেবে তিনি অগ্রগণ্য; বিবাদমান আরব জনতাকে একীভূতকরণ তার জীবনের অন্যতম সফলতা।
