From the ancient years, rural villagers in some parts of Asia have been used to keep water in this type of natural, handmade water container.Specially bottle gourd water containers are a common sight in temporary huts build by the the rural farmers nearby the farming fields , with the purpose of keep an watchful eye on their cultivation's.
This type of containers take much importance whereas, the adverse effect of plastic water bottles has become a matter of concern.
This old villager will guide you how to prepare a simple water container out of a bottle gourd.
1.First cut a small slice from the upper end of a bottle gourd and keep it aside.
2. Then using a sharp knife ,remove the flesh in the inner part of the gourd, making a fine cavity.
3.Allow the gourd to dry for 2 -4 days under the sunlight until the peel become hard and rigid.
4.Put some water in to the dried gourd and clean it further.
5.Fierce the upper part of the gourd in two points and tie a cord in two sides, making a handle to hold the water container.
6.Get the uppermost slice, which was cut previously and use it as a lid to close the container.
7.Now you will get a uncommon, healthy water bottle that would give you a village life experience.
