Lost Horizon (1973) - The Songs

This video contains all the wonderful songs composed by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Charles Jarrott's 1973 film "Lost Horizon", inspired by the famous James Hilton novel, which had already been brought to the screen by Frank Capra in 1937.
Jarrott's film was not as successful as its authors expected, but in my opinion it is a great film that deserves to be rediscovered and valued. And there is no point in making comparisons, as many have done, because this is a musical, the other was not.
Bacharach and David had written many hits that made the history of American pop music, but the songs in this film are worth no less for their varied and melodic richness.

Questo video contiene tutte le meravigliose canzoni composte da Burt Bacharach e Hal David per il film di Charles Jarrott del 1973 "Lost Horizon", ispirato al celebre romanzo di James Hilton, che era stato già portato sullo schermo da Frank Capra nel 1937.
Il film di Jarrott non riscosse il successo che i suoi autori si aspettavano, ma a mio avviso è un gran bel film che merita di essere riscoperto e valorizzato. E non ha senso fare confronti, come molti hanno fatto, perché questo è un musical, l'altro non lo era.
Bacharach e David avevano scritto molti successi che hanno fatto la storia della musica pop americana, ma le canzoni di questo film non valgono meno per varietà e ricchezza melodica.
