Hot, dry, and dusty day riding to the fire lookout tower on Shuteye Peak above Bass Lake. You can hear the fan on the 500 EXC running when I stop (or fall down), and the heat & altitude work to suck the energy out of you. Top of the lookout is about 8,300 ASL, which is high for a person who lives just above sea level!
