Part Two of a month long Oman wild camping road trip. In Nov/Dec 2018 we hired a 4x4 in Muscat and took off to explore everywhere from Musandam to Salalah. In this second half of the road trip we visit Dhofar, including Salalah, Fazayah Beaches, Wadi Darbat, Wadi Uyun, Khor Rouri and incredible Tawi Atair sinkhole. We journey up the east coast, wild camping in serene wadis and lonely dunes, encountering more wildlife than we do people. We take the ferry to chilled out Masirah Island, home to nesting beaches for an incredible 40% of the world’s Loggerhead Turtles.

Back on the mainland high winds and a sandstorm prevent us from driving through Wahiba Sands, so we head to idyllic Wadi Bani Khalid instead, before a night by some awesome blowholes at Fins Beach. A visit to Bimmah Sinkhole, Wadi Abriyeen and Wadi Dayqah complete our 5100 KM journey. In our 4x4 we head off-road at every opportunity, discovering the road less travelled and meeting friendly locals along the way.
