An arrest has been made in two recent robberies around town.

Chicago resident, Marquies James, 17, was arrested for his alleged involvement in two recent south Naperville robberies.

The first occurred on December 1 near Briarheath Circle in the city's Old Farm neighborhood. Police say the suspect entered an elderly man's garage and took a tablet from his hands while displaying what appeared to be a handgun.

James then allegedly made his way to apple river drive in the river woods neighborhood where he attempted another robbery, but fled empty-handed, and was later caught by Naperville police. They recovered the tablet and the weapon, which was discovered to be a BB gun.

Police are still investigating another robbery that occurred the evening of November 26 on the city's north side as well as an attempted robbery on the afternoon of the November 30 in the same area.

"We believe these are isolated incidents concerning the one individual who may have had friends in the area, we have no reason to believe these robberies are connected with any other crimes in the Naperville area," said police sergeant Bill Davis.

James remains in DuPage county jail with his bail set at $150,000.
