Margaret Klenck, M.Div. | Persona & the True Self | Speaking of Jung #46

Margaret Klenck, M.Div., is a Jungian analyst in private practice in New York City.

After training with the American Conservatory Theater, Margaret embarked on a 20-year acting career, appearing on stage, television, and film. Later, she entered the Union Theological Seminary where she earned a Master of Divinity, and then went on to the C.G. Jung Institute of New York where she became certified as a Jungian analyst.

For seven years, she served as president of the Jungian Psychoanalytic Association, where she currently teaches and supervises. She is also an associate member of the Philadelphia Association of Jungian Analysts and represents the JPA on the Executive Council of the International Association for Analytical Psychology. She has lectured and taught both nationally and internationally, including stints as guest lecturer for the Jung Institute of Lithuania and the British Jungian Analytic Association.

Margaret is co-author of The Rest is Silence: Selected Letters of Sigmund Freud & Carl Jung, a staged reading which she has performed at various psychoanalytic institutes and conferences, including the Freud Museum in London in 2015. And she was a participant in Nine Conversations, roundtable discussions on the PBS series The Question of God: Sigmund Freud & C.S. Lewis.

This month, she presented at the annual Jung on the Hudson conference in upstate New York. Her presentation on #persona, "Analysis as Self-Portraiture," and her workshop on self-portraits, are the subjects of our talk today.
