Ribero del Duero | Better Spanish Wine than Rioja | Regions That Deserve More Respect

Today I open up a Ribero del Duero wine from Spain, the lesser known location for Temparanillo wines. The labels and classifications have the same aging rules, so Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva mean the same things. However, since the climate and blending grapes differ, Ribero del Duero wines are darker, more tannic and have a black fruit profile.
This wine can be a great alternative for folks who like Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.
