Form of the Song

"She's Leaving Home" is one of the slower ballads from the 1967 record,
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, by The Beatles. The waltz song's lyrics were written by both Paul McCartney and John Lennon, sung by McCartney with harmonic back-up vocals provided by Lennon. This song, along with very few others, was a song in which no Beatles played the actual music.

The song was originally written on the piano by McCartney, and although it is more of a waltzy song, it translates to guitar chords. The video shows the strumming pattern necessary to match the sound that this song requires. The chords are few in number, but there are a couple uncommon chords to practice, especially the Bm/F# and A7sus4 chords.

Follow along to learn these chords and their structure, along with the strumming style.

"She's Leaving Home" uses the following song form:

* Intro
* Verse 1
* Chorus
* Verse 2
* Chorus
* Verse 3
* Chorus
* Short Outro
