On my Hyundai Kona 2019,
I had to use a USB cable to get the google Android car working.
So I added a USB to wifi adapter to automatically connect to Android car without a need for the USB.
But the downside is that the USB port remains ON even when the car is closed, this made the smartphone connecting to the WIFI dongle while close enough in the house to the car, preventing my smartphone to use the WIFI from home.
So I added a dongle that cuts the power lines from the USB and added a plug cigar and DCDC converter from 12V to 5V to power the WIFI dongle.
The cigar plug goes off when the power of the car is off this time, automatically cutting the 5V to the USB and allows my smartphone to use the home WIFI again.
In the Hyundai Kona EV 2019 there is no option in the menus to cut the USB power when the car is OFF.
