The rear wheel put up one heck of a fight while removing it. The important thing here was to avoid buggering up the axle. I used a combination of penetrating oil, heat, brute force, and patience.

After I removed the axle, I clean it up and make sure it is straight. The next step will be to go through the rear hub and check the brakes, clean everything up and maybe add some paint here and there.
