The first thing you need to know when learning a new language is vocabulary of course. You have to know the words to make sentences.

In this video, you will learn:

Nouns for family members: 00:00 - 03:45
Nouns for relationships: 03:45 - 06:00
Verbs and adjectives for emotions: 06:00 - 08:15
Verbs and nouns for life events: 08:15 - 12:51

Each topic is divided into 7 learning techniques.

1. The first technique is reading the words and listening to the pronunciation in Dutch. (Vocabulary)
2. The second technique is choosing (in your mind) between two words and concentrate on the words, the pictures, and pronunciation in Dutch.
3. The third technique is linking the English word to the Dutch word and looking at the pictures while listening to the pronunciation in Dutch.
4. The fourth technique is to match the Dutch words with the English words in your head again and stay concentrated.
5. The fifth technique is to listen to the voice in Dutch and choose in your head the picture and read the nouns as fast as you can.
6. The sixth technique is to imagine the missing letters from the Dutch word.
7. The seventh technique is to imagine the full missing word in Dutch!

The best thing of all is you don't have to click yourself and get frustrated if you get it wrong. You just have to stay concentrated, read the words, and listen to the pronunciation in Dutch. It's that simple. If you wish, you can always pause, or play the video again. As you often get to hear, read, and link the words to the English words, you will soon notice that you'll get to understand more and more Dutch!

I know that in all these seven techniques the words are often repeated, but that is the best and fastest way to remember them!
