Department S (1969–1970)
A stylish British spy/adventure series produced by ITC, Department S followed a special Interpol branch called "Department S," tasked with solving baffling international crimes. The team consisted of:

Jason King (Peter Wyngarde) – flamboyant, witty novelist turned investigator, known for his sharp suits, charm, and eccentric style.

Stewart Sullivan (Joel Fabiani) – the pragmatic American agent, who often kept the group grounded.

Annabelle Hurst (Rosemary Nicols) – brilliant computer expert and scientist, who balanced the team’s skills with logic and technology.

Jason King (1971–1972)
Due to Peter Wyngarde’s popularity, his character Jason King was spun off into his own series. Unlike Department S, this show focused entirely on King, who had now retired from Interpol to live the life of a playboy author. He traveled the world, got caught up in intrigue, and used his unique wit and imagination to navigate espionage-style adventures.

The series was known for its:

Lavish 1970s fashion and set design.

Lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek tone compared to the more serious Department S.

Cult status, thanks largely to Wyngarde’s charismatic performance.
