Cad Bane is not dead. And here’s why…

During the finale of the book of boba fett, in the final duel between boba and cad bane, the daimyo of mos espa manages to surprise the bounty hunter and stab him right in the midsection…

And as boba emerges and leaves triumphantly, we get a close up shot of cad bane lying on the ground. Seemingly dead…

But here is the clue that the duros bounty hunter may not be dead after all. In the last few moments we see cad bane, we see and hear this…

And if you listen carefully you can hear a distinct beeping sound that matches with the glowing beeps on his chest. This doesn’t really tell us much, but if you go back and watch the moment where cad bane gets stabbed, the device on his chest activates and starts glowing and beeping. Which goes to show the red flashes indicate that something has been triggered, perhaps a warning or emergency medical assistance. So it would stand to reason that while Cad Bane has been seriously injured by Boba, he may just be barely clinging on to life.

And while in the scenes that he is alive and well there is no discernible beeping, it just might be the case that the sound only occurs when the user is seriously injured, a sort of life support that kicks in. I don’t really think it is a coincidence that the sound… very closely matches that of a heart rate monitor you might find in the hospital.

Beyond what we hear and what we see, we also know that Cad Bane wears these breathing tubes that are connected to his face. And this breathing system is so advanced that it can actually prevent him from getting force choked. So it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to assume that his life support system is also equipped with other medical necessities in preparation for a job with an extremely hazardous nature.

On top of that, and the show didn’t really put an emphasis on this, is that his wrist guards are actually a remote that allows him to do many things. He can actually remote control his ship or even communicate. And the one person or droid that we didn’t really see in the show is Todo 360. Now if you’ve watched the clone wars, you will know that Todo is essentially Cad Bane’s trusty right hand droid. And someone we didn’t really see in the show. So its not entirely impossible that as Cad Bane lies there seriously injured a message is sent out to todo, who rushes in to rescue his master. And given that his gauntlet are able to essentially do many things, it would not be too far -fetched to assume that he could somehow get in contact with Todo and send for help.

So that is why I think Cad Bane is not dead. Besides, the man has survived being shot in the head by Boba during the clone wars, so it would not be the first time he had a near death experience.

Which is why I think Cad Bane is still kicking around, and this is definitely not the last we’ve seen of this bounty hunter. So what do you guys think? Do you think he’s still alive or if he’s dead?
