Playing the 404 Challenge in 2024 on Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition

The 404 Challenge was posted to the Minecraft forum in February 22nd 2011 making it one of the oldest Minecraft survival challenges. Minecraft Beta 1.3 added the world seed feature which allowed the 404 seed to be found. This seed spawns you near a large area of gravel in the desert which will open up a sink hole when broken. Underneath is a convoluted system of caves which you have to survive in for the rest of your life, never to return to the world's surface. The 404 challenge allows one day of gathering resources in the world then at night you must dig the gravel and go to the bottom of the cave. This is my first time trying the challenge which is pretty exciting for me since I used to watch lots of 404 series growing up after discovering Stampy's videos on the seed. I'm playing on the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft for this challenge but it was originally done on Beta 1.3 Java Edition. Give this a go for yourself and let me know if you decide to post your own let's play on it documenting your progress! Hopefully this will become an ongoing series I can do on the channel if I don't die before the next episode :o
