For the 2024/25 season, leading footballers could play up to 86 games, and FIFA wants to add more. Whilst players are paid extremely well, they have made it clear that this is too much for them - physically and mentally. We've reached a tipping point. Let me show you why footballs governing bodies want more games and competitions, what impact this could have on players if this isn’t solved, and explain my controversial solution to this problem.
