Part of our home inspections is to evaluate the drainage system around the house. The perimeter drains are designed to remove the rain water away from the foundation. There are many different types of drains and in this video I will give you a short history of perimeter drains. Also know as weeping tiles, drain tiles, storm drains, foundation drains, and French drains. It is extremely important to have them inspected as part of a real estate transaction or for homeowners to have them inspected every few years.
