How do you go about fixing a low premed GPA when you're also working to support your family as a nontraditional student? That's what we're talking about today on the OldPreMeds Podcast!

Questions for the OldPreMeds Podcast are taken from our nontraditional premed forum at http://premedforums.com!

Here is the podcast episode I mentioned with Chad, the other premed who overcame a Caribbean med school rejection by fixing his grades and reapplying at U.S. medical schools: http://premedyears.com/230.

On this week's OldPreMeds Podcast, I'm answering a question from a nontraditional premed who is about to finish undergrad with a 3.1 to 3.2 overall GPA and a 3.0 science GPA.

Due to struggles with anxiety and depression, he's taken about 6 years to finish undergrad. He puts his family first, but his dream is going to medical school to be a physician, and he doesn't see himself being happy doing anything else.

How can this premed turn around his grades, even with the responsibility of supporting his family at the same time? I give him my perspective, based on the premeds in similar situations who I've seen succeed before and how they did it.
