ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
soohee mahalaa panjavaa ||
Soohee, Fifth Mehla:

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
paarabraham paramesar satigur aape karanaihaaraa ||
The True Guru is the Transcendent Lord, the Supreme Lord God; He Himself is the Creator Lord.

ਚਰਣ ਧੂੜਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
charan dhooR teree sevak maagai tere dharasan kau balihaaraa ||1||
Your servant begs for the dust of Your feet. I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਜਿਉ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਰਹੀਐ ॥
mere raam rai jiau raakheh tiau raheeaai ||
O my Sovereign Lord, as You keep me, so do I remain.

ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tudh bhaavai taa naam japaaveh sukh teraa dhitaa laheeaai ||1|| rahaau ||
When it pleases You, I chant Your Name. You alone can grant me peace. ||1||Pause||

ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭੁਗਤਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ॥
mukat bhugat jugat teree sevaa jis too(n) aap karaieh ||
Liberation, comfort and proper lifestyle come from serving You; You alone cause us to serve You.

ਤਹਾ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੁ ਜਹ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਇਹਿ ॥੨॥
tahaa baiku(n)Th jeh keeratan teraa too(n) aape saradhaa laieh ||2||
That place is heaven, where the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung. You Yourself instill faith into us. ||2||

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਵਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ॥
simar simar simar naam jeevaa tan man hoi nihaalaa ||
Meditating, meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Naam, I live; my mind and body are enraptured.

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਧੋਇ ਧੋਇ ਪੀਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੩॥
charan kamal tere dhoi dhoi peevaa mere satigur dheen dhiaalaa ||3||
I wash Your Lotus Feet, and drink in this water, O my True Guru, O Merciful to the meek. ||3||

ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਜਾਈ ਉਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਆ ॥
kurabaan jaiee us velaa suhaavee jit tumarai dhuaarai aaiaa ||
I am a sacrifice to that most wonderful time when I came to Your Door.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੮॥੫੫॥
naanak kau prabh bhe kirapaalaa satigur pooraa paiaa ||4||8||55||
God has become compassionate to Nanak; I have found the Perfect True Guru. ||4||8||55||
