GAME 2 Preview:

76ers (1-0) vs. Bulls (0-1)

The Philadelphia 76ers scraped by in a scrappy Game 1 matchup against the Chicago Bulls, winning by a mere 2 points in overtime after giving up a 15 point 3rd quarter lead.

Philadelphia successfully kept Chicago at bay for much of the game, holding the lead for the whole of the 1st through the late 4th quarter. It was in the 4th quarter when the game got real spicy.

The Bulls surged to close out regulation, but their frenetic youth got the better of them. With about :30 to go in the game, the Bulls managed to steal a 2 point lead from the 76ers. They got a stop on the defensive end and ran in transition with an opportunity to go up by 4 but King Domoeezzzzyyyy prematurely passed the ball to McDonald on the left wing as Connor Cannady cut past. The errant pass bounced off the unsuspecting Cannady and landed in the hands of the 76ers who scored the next possession to tie the game. Chicago decided not to call a timeout because their transition offense is what got them back into the game, but their last second attempt to win the game at the buzzer fell short. Philadelphia simply had more gas in the tank in overtime and they squeaked away with the victory.

Edwin Kuminga started this series with a statement game, finishing with 44 points and a monster 32 rebounds. Ronald McDonald put in a huge statement performance as well, finishing with 21 assists, the most in his young career.

Despite their youth, these Bulls may have a shot at dethroning the defending champions, but it'll take a significant and sustained effort to defeat the monsters from Philadelphia.
