George Lynch's "The Hunter " solo - walkthrough

Описание к видео George Lynch's "The Hunter " solo - walkthrough

As promised, here is a slow, double-camera walkthrough of "The Hunter" solo.

A few quick notes:

1) This is more accurate than the TAB I have sent out in the past. The TAB is VERY close, but you will notice a couple of subtle differences - particularly in the dismount lick.

2) Use of the tremolo to vibe the note at the 30 second mark is deliberate - the recorded solo's vibrato is excessively wide and loose there - even for a vibrato God like Lynch. Yes, George does use the bar sometimes.

3) No, I am not crazy. Those are deliberate open G strings in the first half of the dismount lick. They are worked in VERY quickly with the B string pull-offs. On the recording, this spot is bathed in echo, creating a very soaring, almost disorienting feel.

4) At the 1:06 spot, there is a mistake on the high E just before the bend that happens right before the whammy bar wangs. I mistakenly played 15-p-13 15 15-bend. It's actually 13 15-pull-13 15-bend. Just noticed it at posting. Not enough to warrant a re-shoot. ;-)

I hope you enjoy and hopefully learn from this if you are so inclined. I am thrilled to share it with you!

Please try to pay it forward whenever you can; we can all help make someone else a happier/better player at some time or another.

Thanks for all the positivity and support.

See you out there!
George
