Nyah’s connection to country is strong. Her mum’s side is from Wiradjuri Country, out west. Her dad’s side has a strong history of surfing on the coast. Salt water and fresh water.

Nyah’s story about walking the line between her two cultures made her a winner of our Heywire competition; a storytelling and leadership program encouraging young people in regional Australia to share their story.
