The Satanic Verses, the controversial novel by the British Author Salman Rushdie has returned to the book stores after a three decade has been uplifted. The novel was banned in 1988, by the Rajiv Gandhi Govt after it being criticized by Islamic Scholars. Allegations of hurting the sentiments of the followers of the Islam were made. The Author Salman Rushdie was also threatened. Harshit Sharma speaks to the readers about the book and thoughts on the content.
