A large swarm capture that challenged my hiving techniques. Tips and tricks that got them to stay with me. The 10-Frame Langstroth deep box was just too small for this picky swarm.

1- 7 gallon bucket is a great swarm collection tool.
2- 10-frame Wooden framed Queen Excluder keeps them where you want them while setting your hive up.
3- landing board Queen "includer" prevents your newly hived swarm from departing to parts unknown.
4- Placing your queen into a cage and using her pheromone to draw the swarm into your selected hive.
5- Evidence that you've one, and that they have accepted your hive.
