The Bangalore Fort, located in Bangalore, Karnataka, was originally a mud fort built by Kempe Gowda I in 1537. Reconstructed in stone by Hyder Ali in the late 18th century, the fort played a crucial role in regional military history, particularly during the Third Anglo-Mysore War when it was captured by the British in 1791. Today, only parts of the fort, such as the Delhi Gate and sections of the walls, remain. These remnants are preserved as historical monuments amidst the modern urban landscape of Bangalore.
