We Lost

After dealing with a blown shock on the V-Strom 800DE and a flat tire on the Moto Morini X-Cape, things were looking grim at the start of day 6 of our Northern California Backcountry Discovery Route trip. ‪@BigRockMoto‬ and ‪@ADV_Agenda‬ were not even sure if they were going to continue on with me to finish CABDR North section 8 and section 9. Fortnuately, things were looking up in the morning and both of the fellas decided to soldier on and at least finish NorCal BDR Section 8.

After we arrived in Alturas, Ian had to take his leave but Jeff and I pushed on, determined to finish Northern California BDR Section 9 and end our trip at the Oregon border. Most of NorCal BDR section 9 was uneventful but there was a very fun section in the middle with some loose off camber road and a ton of water crossings.

By the end of the day, we had finished our nearly week-long Northern California BDR trip. 950 miles of the most beautiful backroads that Northern California has to offer.
